Land River Sea Consulting has experience in using a range of Hazard Mapping techniques in order to assist in gaining a fuller understanding of the risks associated with flooding rather than just simply looking at maps of flood depth as is common practice.

Using the standard outputs from a hydraulic model, we can produce a range of hazard maps using custom defined templates or using standard templates such as the FD2320&2321 which have been adopted by the UK Environment Agency.

These maps are particularly useful in communicating hazards to the general public as well as helping to analyse the pros and cons of flood mitigation options.
