Founder / Director / Natural Resources Engineer

Matthew completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours at the University of Canterbury. He has worked in the field of Water Resources since 2006. Formerly employed by Greater Wellington Regional Council as well as URS New Zealand Ltd, he has a wealth of experience within both the public and private sectors.

He is a big picture thinker that can visualise problems from a wide range of angles to help find a solution to any problem.  He prides himself in his problem solving abilities and is always looking for a new challenge. 

Matthew is currently based in Ōtautahi / Christchurch in Aotearoa / New Zealand.

Prasujya Gogoi, PhD

Water Resources Scientist

Prasujya has completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, specialising in reduced complexity landscape evolution modelling and change in river morphology of braided rivers. She is originally from India and has a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning, from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. She has formerly been employed by Blue Green City project team at The University of Nottingham and Jacobs, Manchester. She is now developing her skills in hydraulic modelling and data processing.


Pearl DSouza

Graduate GIS Analyst

Pearl is a graduate in Geology from the University of Mumbai. She has experience in LiDAR and Drone Data Processing for GIS related projects, and in the use of software packages such as ArcGIS, QGIS and AutoCAD. She is a huge environmental enthusiast and is currently pursuing her Master's in Engineering Geology at the University of Newcastle in the UK, where she is now based.  Pearl is rapidly expanding her skill set with hands on experience on a range of interesting projects with Land River Sea Consulting.

Paveethran Swaminathan

Data Scientist / Machine Learning Specialist

Paveethran is a graduate in computer science with strong skills in data science and machine learning.

Paveethran is predominantly working on our R&D programme currently focussed on developing our optical bathymetry tools however he has also been getting involved in project work.  Paveethran initially started working for us in our Mumbai office, but has been working from his home in Alibag, since March when the lockdown started in India.  He had originally intended to be already undertaking a masters programme in the in America, however this is likely now delayed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
